Rabot Energy in Germany has raised $50M in a Series B to turn homes into virtual power plants. Your house, your car, your battery — all part of the grid, not just plugged into it.

I love energy deals and I just don't think Europe has done nearly enough here. Grids are creaking, demand is climbing and the cheapest capacity might already be sitting on driveways across Hamburg and Munich.
